The entire metered parking system in Chicago is now fully automated with the competition of the Pay Box installation. The installation of over 4,600 Pay Boxes on the streets of Chicago replaces over 36,000 antiquated single space meters. This ensures the entire Chicago metered parking system will have at least one other form of payment in addition to quarters.
